Great discussion on Budget 2012

November 23, 2011 by Scott Sakatch in News

I was very pleased to see more than 30 people come out to a special public meeting on Nov. 17 to determine your priorities for the upcoming provincial budget. There was a lot of great discussion on issues ranging from reinvestment in Alberta to persons with disabilities to continuing eduication for aboriginal students.

I appreciate all the input brought forward and I’d like to thank everyone for bringing good, solid ideas to the table rather than rhetoric. I’d also like to thank Doug McArthur for acting as moderator. These kinds of meetings help me to better represent the people of Lethbridge in the Legislature and I look forward to conducting more of them in the future.

If you’d like your voice to be heard on the budget, please visit the Alberta Government website at alberta.ca and fill out the budget dialogue questionnaire online.
